Services On Alternative Fuel Spreads Out

Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute, or the AFVI, is working up a partnership with Clean Energy. And together, they are planning on expanding the range of the vital and most important pieces of information on alternative fuel.

Efforts to actually give out more information on alternative fuel seem to be expanding. One of the latest moves involves the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute, or the AFVI, working up a partnership with Clean Energy. And together, they are planning on expanding the range of the vital and most important pieces of information on such a mentioned topic. According to the groups, they are doing such a thing so as to be able to help consumers  make the right decisions  when it comes to purchasing vehicles.

Such a move would indeed be quite important and very helpful. You see, because of the huge rise of gas and fuel prices, more and more consumers are struggling to make their budget fit just right. And alternative fuel and alternative fuel vehicles seem to be the very answer to the current problem. And with this, consumers are out in the market looking for the right kind of information regarding such alternatives. Both AFVI and Clean Energy are putting together all the most needed pieces of data with the help from a team of fuel and technology experts in the whole country. It has not been disclosed though if these groups would also be working with other businesses and organizations like Chevrolet performance parts manufacturers, auto accessories crafters, and other groups involved in the industry.

As part of their campaign and move towards providing information on alternative fuel and  alternative fuel vehicles  to the market, the groups would also be providing other services that would provide the much needed education on such matters. The list includes forums that would give other people the chance to talk about the topic as well as get in touch with other peers located not only in their locality and region but also those who are located straight right across the country. Newsletters would also be sent out and a website would also be put up.

Annalloyd Thomason says, "What we are doing is augmenting the core business that we’ve developed during the past two decades. Focused attention on the use of alternative fuels and vehicles that are here today has been a core mission for us. What’s new is that the support from Clean Energy allows us to expand the ways we deliver relevant information to fleets and others. That expansion will be evident during the next several months." Thomason is currently the executive director of AFVI.

Alternative Fuel Vehicle – Gas Saving Tips With Alternative Fuel.

An alternative fuel vehicle is a car that uses an energy source other than fossil fuel. Many people around the world are adversely affected by the recent gasoline price hike. With increasing demand and limited supply, fuel price is expected to go even higher in the near future. Those who are not prepared for it would have to abandon their cars for a different mode of transport. Another option is to adopt alternative fuel for vehicles. One alternate fuel source for vehicle is hydrogen gas (H2). H2 is most abundance in the universe. Its has a higher burn rate compared to fossil fuel and is much cleaner and efficient. The properties of hydrogen gas is excellent as an replacement option for conventional gasoline.

To use H2 for cars, you will have to hook up an  electrolysis kit  to the engine. The kit draws electricity from the battery and channel it through water to produce hydrogen gas. This is possible because water is made of 2 parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. To use the full potential of H2, it has to be released into the engine air intake system. By venting it into the engine, it will be mixed with gasoline vapor and burn in the combustion chamber. The enriched mixture will produced a smoother and stronger power output.

By supplementing hydrogen gas for your vehicle, it will reduce the consumption of gasoline for your car. The conversion process can also be done quite easily. Most of the parts needed are available from a hardware store. What you will need is an  instructional guide  that you can buy online.

With the rising gas prices of today many people have begun to look for an alternative way to put fuel in their cars. A biodiesel kit is a great way to save a substantial amount of money on your fuel costs. There is a minimal amount of supplies needed to use a biodiesel kit. You will need basic tap water, methanol and access to a good amount of vegetable oil, which can usually be obtained from restaurants and such. You can set the kit up just about anywhere, although most people do put them outside in a shed or under an overhang. You will be making a fuel oil so setting up in the house may not be a real good idea.

When it comes to pricing a kit the more features to be found the more expensive the kit. The most expensive models are built to prevent fumes and odors from escaping during the refining process. Having an odorless refining process may be important for those wishing to refine their fuel near their home. If you live on a farm or a large acreage this may not be as important as the kit can be located farther from the house. Of course if you can afford it go ahead and get the more expensive closed system just because they are very easy to use.

If for some reason you already have a large amount of cooking oil that you need to dispose of then a biodiesel kit would work perfectly. It does take more time to process used oil but the results are the same, a more environmentally friendly fuel that can be put into a diesel powered vehicle.

Considering that the price of gasoline is on an ever rising trend making biodiesel for personal use can be seen as a smart move. Having your own biodiesel kit producing a constant supply of a low cost environmentally friendly fuel right in your own backyard would remove the sting of high pump prices.
