DIY BIODIESEL KITS – FACT OR FICTION?

Everyone knows that the human race has had and is having such a monumental impact on the environment of our wonderful planet that many scientists and ‘experts’ claim that global warming or global freezing will effectively kill the planet sometime within the near future. Whether they are right or wrong, especially regarding the timelines, remains to be seen.

HOWEVER, the 21^st Century has brought about a massive increase in the awareness of the destruction that we are heaping on the environment and this is leading to ever increasing cries of “How can we stop this?”, “What can I do to help?” or “What difference can little old me make?”

Regardless of what the governments and specialists are saying and doing, there is a little something that we can all do to help the situation – whether you’re old or young, rich or poor, in a developed country or a developing one. That is – to intelligently cut back on the resources we are using up each and every day. Now, that doesn’t mean having to ‘Go Green’ and become some kind of environmentalist nut! But what it does mean, for anyone who cares about the future of the planet and what the coming generations will inherit, is that we can use the already known ways of reducing our ‘Carbon Footprint’ as it is being increasingly called.

What is one of the things that everyone who has a car (and even many who don’t) are complaining about right now? Yes, you got it – the continuously increasing cost of living which is fast outpacing most of our incomes. HANG ON! I hear you shout. What does this have to do with car owners?

Well, as automobile or car owners we all know that the price of fuel is more or less totally unregulated nowadays, to the point where if the Oil Companies decide to whack the price up another 25 cents or 25 pence this week, they WILL! And who can stop them? NO ONE. The governments say “Oh how terrible, this is not good for our people”. But who are they trying to kid.

They make so much money on the taxes on fuel, that they actually love it when the prices go up and up. It pays for all their free holidays in the Carribean – AT OUR EXPENSE.

So, after rambling on for a bit, what can we do? DIY BIODIESEL is being shouted about as a great way to reduce your effect on the environment while at the same time being able to save you money. But, IS IT TRUE?
